Private Silent Meditation Retreat in Nature – Ahaspokuna Glamping Sri Lanka

Why Meditate in Nature – and in Private

Many of the most revered meditation centers in Sri Lanka are set deep in forests or high in misty mountains—for good reason. Nature offers a sacred stillness that helps us reconnect with our inner self. At Ahaspokuna, we take it further by offering private meditation experiences, tailored to your needs, in complete solitude.

This is a place where time slows down. The air is fresh, the surroundings untouched, and silence isn’t just the absence of noise—it’s a path to clarity. Here, silent meditation retreats in Sri Lanka become truly immersive, supported by nature and uninterrupted by external distractions.

Your Private Spiritual Mountain Retreat – Ahaspokuna Glamping Sri Lanka

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, we offer one-on-one meditation sessions led by experienced instructors. Your guide will work with you to design a practice suited to your personal journey—be it mindfulness meditation, silent sitting, or guided breathing techniques.

All sessions take place in complete privacy—in your secluded glamping suite, by a forest clearing, or at a peaceful hilltop viewpoint. Each experience is yours alone, or shared only with your travel companion if desired.

Note: To ensure a smooth and personalized experience, meditation instructors must be booked in advance.

A Rare Gem Among Meditation Places in Sri Lanka

Ahaspokuna isn’t your typical resort. It’s a secluded, road-free glamping sanctuary nestled in the hills of Belihuloya. There are no vehicles, crowds, or interruptions—just wild landscapes, birdsong, and your own breath.

That’s what makes it one of the most unique silent meditation retreats Sri Lanka has to offer. It’s not just a destination—it’s a spiritual retreat in Sri Lanka, where body, breath, and nature come together in quiet harmony.

A Complete Mind-Body Reset in the Wild

After your session, take your practice further with a soak in your private bush bathtub, overlooking the wilderness. Let nature continue the healing as you sip a warm herbal infusion, reflect in silence, or journal under a canopy of stars.

If you wish, your retreat can also include private yoga sessions, long meditative walks, or Ayurveda massage therapies—custom-curated to suit your pace and preferences.

In the Sinhalese language (spoken in Sri Lanka), “Ahas” means “Sky” and “Pokuna” means “Pond” or “Pool”. Ahaspokuna is so named in reference to the lake here, high up in the hills, that is only fed by rainwater. A former settlement that sprung up on its shores was subsequently also named “Ahaspokuna”. Today, the jungle tide has washed over where people once lived and the camp provides a wilderness retreat for those in search of something different. Ahaspokuna by Eco Team
