The Programme: A Family Adventure Holiday in Sri Lanka
- Noon: Arrive at the meeting point and begin your short guided walk into the wilderness. Porters carry your luggage.
- Welcome Briefing and tent check-in by our Naturalist.
- Lunch followed by optional adventure bushwalk or kid-friendly activities at camp.
- Evening: Sunset viewpoint walk. No photo will do it justice.
- Dinner & Campfire: Wine, delicious food, and marshmallows under a sky full of stars.

In the Sinhalese language (spoken in Sri Lanka), “Ahas” means “Sky” and “Pokuna” means “Pond” or “Pool”. Ahaspokuna is so named in reference to the lake here, high up in the hills, that is only fed by rainwater. A former settlement that sprung up on its shores was subsequently also named “Ahaspokuna”.
