Yoga is more than stretching or poses—it’s a way of life that transforms how we think, feel, and connect with nature and others. True yoga is balance: in thought, in emotion, in the way we move and live. It teaches us to be fully aware of the present moment, which in turn can lead to deep insights and inner peace.
At Ahaspokuna Glamping, we believe yoga must be experienced, not just understood intellectually. That’s why our serene wilderness, free from distractions, becomes the perfect environment to reconnect with yourself through this ancient practice.
Set in the tranquil highlands of Belihuloya, Ahaspokuna is far removed from the noise of modern life. Our pristine surroundings—open skies, clean mountain air, birdsong, and forest silence—create a deeply calming energy, ideal for yoga and meditation.
Whether it’s sunrise asana on a misty plateau or a restorative evening flow beneath the stars, the natural rhythm of Ahaspokuna enhances your practice in ways that no urban studio can replicate.
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned yogi, our experienced instructors offer fully customized sessions during your stay. From guided breathing and mindful movement to deeper meditative practices, each session is designed around your level, goals, and schedule.
We recommend pre-booking your yoga sessions in advance to ensure instructor availability and to allow us to tailor a seamless experience for you. Every session is conducted in privacy—on your suite deck or a tranquil nature setting—at a time that suits your rhythm.
Yoga at Ahaspokuna Glamping isn’t just about the practice—it’s about the pause. After an invigorating bushwalk or trek, a yoga session helps stretch tired muscles, ease tension, and calm the nervous system. It is a natural follow-up to the adventure, bringing your body and mind back into balance.
Many guests follow up their yoga with a visit to our iconic Hot Bush Bathtub, where warm water and jungle views complete the wellness ritual—leaving you truly relaxed and reconnected.
Our location in the hill country Sri Lanka offers a rare combination of altitude, clean air, and untouched nature—making it one of the most restorative environments in Sri Lanka. Unlike busier yoga hotels in Sri Lanka, Ahaspokuna offers privacy, silence, and immersion in the wild.
This makes it an ideal choice for a yoga meditation retreat in Sri Lanka, whether you're seeking clarity, healing, or simply a moment of stillness during your holiday.

In the Sinhalese language (spoken in Sri Lanka), “Ahas” means “Sky” and “Pokuna” means “Pond” or “Pool”. Ahaspokuna is so named in reference to the lake here, high up in the hills, that is only fed by rainwater. A former settlement that sprung up on its shores was subsequently also named “Ahaspokuna”. Today, the jungle tide has washed over where people once lived and the camp provides a wilderness retreat for those in search of something different. Ahaspokuna by Eco Team
