The Programme
We greet you at the designated meeting point by noon and begin your adventure with a short guided trek through pristine forest. Your luggage will be transported by our porters while you enjoy the scenery and acclimatise to your wild surroundings. After a welcome briefing by your Naturalist, check in to your luxury suite-tent. Once settled, enjoy a delicious Sri Lankan lunch.
In the afternoon, explore the camp at your leisure or join a guided bushwalk through grasslands and forest trails. As dusk falls, we’ll take you to a breathtaking viewpoint for an unforgettable sunset.
Later, unwind in your private Bush Bathtub, and gather by the campfire for wine, dinner, and wilderness stories under the stars. Post-dinner, join a night walk or visit our hide by the waterhole to quietly observe nocturnal animals. Or simply retreat to your Star Bed and fall asleep under a sky full of stars.

In the Sinhalese language (spoken in Sri Lanka), “Ahas” means “Sky” and “Pokuna” means “Pond” or “Pool”. Ahaspokuna is so named in reference to the lake here, high up in the hills, that is only fed by rainwater. A former settlement that sprung up on its shores was subsequently also named “Ahaspokuna”.
